READ THE RULES!!!

READ THE RULES IN THE CLUB CARD!
Rule 7. Keep nets must be emptied every 3 hrs. No fish over 3lb to be put in keep nets.
To put 7 tench that are between 4lb and 7lb in a keep net is not acceptable, especially as we are coming up to spawning time.
Therefore as from Sat 15th may KEEP NETS ARE BANNED until further notice, apart from organised club competitions. Nick, fishery officer

PARKING Rochford Resevoir

Please note that the parking facility in the field behind the Freighthouse at Rochford Reservoir has been suspended until further notice by the Local Council.

Net Weight Limit

Due to the large weights of carp and silver fish being caught during matches there will be a rule introduced to limit net weights to a maximum of 50lb of fish placed in a single keepnet. This will also be applied to pleasure fishing when keepnets are allowed. Please note that carp and silvers are always to be kept separate. Also pleasure fishing nets must be emptied every 3hrs and no fish over 3lb to be put in nets. Whilst the committee realise this may cause extra expense the health and welfare of the fish must be a priority. Although this rule will not come into effect until the 18/19 season it will be appreciated that these conditions are applied immediately, especially in matches.

Fishing Line Strength

At the last committee meeting it was agreed that there shall no longer be any restriction on the main line breaking strain line used for any method of fishing - on the condition that the hook link strength must be less than the main line.
