RADAS Waters - Birkett Hall
Please note that a strict speed limit of no more than 5 mph applies to the road
down to the lakes, be aware that people live there and also the road is used by
the Farm, by the livery and stables for their horses etc.
Do not exceed this speed limit as several members have had their membership
revoked for exceeding it.
The hours for fishing at Birketts have been restricted to on-site access from
06:00 hrs (6 am) and must be offsite by 22:00 hours (10 pm) with no night
fishing allowed.
Also ensure the gate is locked (padlock numbers changed) after you have entered/left the
site.
Overall, both lakes at Birketts have fished very well, with both match and pleasure weights
from the main lake exceeding 100lb of quality fish.
All reed beds and most of the weed has now been removed from the main lake and the lily
pads trimmed back. This has opened up a lot more swims and hopefully this work will
ensure that the lake remain reed less for several years.
As the weather changes, access to Birkett Hall fishery can be difficult, so take care on the
road down to the lake.
At all times, please make sure you park in the designated parking areas – there have been
increased occurrences of members parking behind swims on the road bank, there is no
parking there, as this is a farm track, and the farmer and other anglers need access.
Please remember all match dates and times are shown on your Club Cards and on the Web
Site. The lake where the match is held is closed for the duration of the match, but we have
other club waters which are open and normally available.
